Firehouse Children's Ministry

At RRBC we strive to offer a ministry where children are loved and led in God's love.

 Mission Statement:

To supplement the family in reaching kids and helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

The purpose of the children’s ministry

...is not to take full responsibility of the child’s spiritual growth; we are to come along your side is assisting them in their growth and development.

The result is that children

...grow into Christian adults and fulfill the great commission.  Matthew 28: 19-20

Our model verse is 1 Timothy 1:16   “However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all long-suffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.”

Therefore based on this verse the “pattern” for parents and leaders is following Christ and together we will lead children to be followers of Christ.

Our purpose is accomplished through the home & church through Sunday School, Word of Life on Wednesday, Summer Camp, and Choir.

10 Core values of the Children’s Ministry

2.    Small Groups – Luke 6: 12-13

3.    Daily personal quiet time and prayer – 2 Tim. 3:15

Sunday School Classes - Sundays at 9:30am

3RD - 5TH GRADES – MELISSA ADAMS & CHRIS HARRIS - CHILDREN’S BUILDING

A very energetic class that focuses on young students learning lessons from the Bible that they can take with them to school and home. God wants us to invest early in our kids to learn about His Word, and we take that very seriously because we love the Lord and love your children. We count it an honor to serve as teachers of God’s Word.

2ND GRADE – JOEY & CELIA TRAYLOR - CHILDREN’S BUILDING

Our 2nd grade class discovers what God says in the Bible. From our lessons students learn to apply God’s word to their world. Every student learns the Gospel and that God wants us to share it with everyone. We reinforce learning with fun puzzles and quizzes.
